Dear Association Members, We are excited to invite you to the Membership Picnic on Sunday, July 26th, a cherished Lake Warren tradition we are thrilled to continue. This celebration is a way for our Board to say thank you to the membership for helping to protect and preserve the quality of our lake! This year’s celebration will begin with a festive boat parade, followed by a community picnic on the island. The boat parade will start at noon from the boat landing and travel along the shoreline following Pine Cliff Road and Shadowland before arriving at the island. You’re welcome to join the parade at any point along the route — whether you’re in a motorboat, canoe, or kayak. If you prefer, you can head straight to the island for the picnic, which will begin between 12:30 and 1:00 PM following the parade. We encourage everyone to decorate their boats in a fun theme or simply come along for the ride. This event is hosted by the LWPA Board in collaboration with Joyce Curl, who is warmly welcoming both new faces and returning members to the island. Joyce is excited to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar ones, and help revive the tradition of the annual island party. She has long been a supportive friend of the LWPA and its mission, and we are deeply grateful for her enthusiasm and her willingness to help bring this beloved gathering back to life. The LWPA will be providing/grilling meats and veggie burgers along with offering light refreshments, and utensils. We encourage attendees to bring a dish to share, a chair, and any specialty beverages of their choosing. For anyone who needs transportation to the island, Tom Dowling will be providing boat transportation to and from the island on the day of the event. Please reach out, and we will gladly help coordinate your ride! We look forward to celebrating together, enjoying the lake, and strengthening our community.
